Senator Sean T. Kean, Wall Township (R-11)

Mr. Kean was elected to the Senate in November of 2007. He previously served in the General Assembly since 2002 where he was re-elected twice and served as Assistant Republican Whip.

Born May 21, 1963, Senator Kean grew up in Deal and is a graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School. He graduated from Seton Hall University, received a master’s degree from Columbia University, and earned a law degree at Seton Hall University Law School.
The Senator is employed as an attorney in private practice.

He served on the Monmouth County Environmental Council and was elected in 2008 to the Board of Directors of Republicans for Environmental Protection which is a national organization dedicated to supporting Republican candidates with strong environmental records. He previously served on the Wall Township Planning Board and served as president of the Wall Township Republican Club.

Senator Kean was appointed to the New Jersey Legislative Services Commission in 2008 and is a member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of the Jersey Shore, the Wall Township-Asbury Park Elks, the Jersey Shore Running Club and the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick of the Jersey Shore. He is a Silver Life Member of the Asbury Park PBA.

He serves on the Advisory Board of Asbury Park Corps of The Salvation Army, the Board of Directors of the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council, is an Honorary Director of the Jersey Shore Performing Arts Center and is a Trustee of the Eden Wooley House in Ocean Township. In addition, he served as Co-Chairman of the Council of State Governments Eastern Regional Conference. He also served as Co-Chairman of Senator John McCain’s New Jersey campaign.

Senator Kean sponsored legislation which mandated carbon monoxide sensors be installed in all residences and was the sponsor of the New Jersey Clean Car law which requires zero emission vehicle technology be made available in the state. The Senator also sponsored legislation that would increase the penalties for kidnapping a child under the age of 16 and authored the law which clarified the regulations regarding the possession of striped bass.

 

Assemblyman David P. Rible, Wall Township (R-11)

Assemblyman David Rible of Wall Township was elected to represent the 11th Legislative District on November 6, 2007. Asm. Rible was nominated by his fellow members in the Assembly to serve as the Minority Whip during his second term and he currently serves on the Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee and the Assembly Telecommunications and Utilities Committee.

Asm. Rible is a former Wall Township Police Officer and past treasurer and president of the Wall Township P.B.A. He retired from active service in 1998 due to an injury he sustained while apprehending a suspect. During his years of service to the Wall Township Police Department, he served as a patrolman, hostage negotiator, crime prevention officer and forensic specialist. At the time of his retirement, Asm. Rible earned the rank of detective and accumulated numerous commendations and awards. In addition, Asm. Rible is the founder of the Wall P.B.A. 5k Race as well as the Chairman of the fundraising committee for the Wall Township P.B.A.

A lifelong resident of Monmouth County, Asm. Rible is a devoted and accomplished community and civic leader. He is a former captain and president of the Belmar Fire Department and is still an active member. He served as president of the Wall Republican Club and the Southern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce where he also served as an executive board member. Asm. Rible served on the Belmar First Aid Squad, as an assistant scoutmaster in the Boys Scouts of America. He is the past president of Wall Helps Its People, a non-profit organization helping local citizens in need, and served on the Wall Township Planning Board from 2000-2007.

In 2008, Asm. Rible received the Advocate Award from the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers. He has sponsored various legislation to support businesses such as a bill that would create the "New Jersey Borough Enterprise Zone Program," to permit the establishment of enterprise zones by qualified municipalities to encourage business development in small municipalities which are substantially developed as well as a bill that would provide a partial tax credit for businesses that use renewable energy property.

In 2009, he received the Legislator of the Year Award from the Shore Builders Association of Central NJ for his dedication to Shore Area development. In addition, he was also awarded the Advocate Award from the FealGood Foundation for his commitment to first responders who were injured and lost their lives on 9/11. Asm. Rible was the prime sponsor of a bill which urged Congress to pass legislation ensuring compensation to 9/11 first responders.

Asm. Rible has deep roots in the Monmouth County area. He was born and raised in Belmar, and later moved to Wall Township where he now resides with his wife Jacqueline and young daughter Emilee Grace. He attended Asbury Park High School, Brookdale Community College and Seton Hall University and is a graduate of the New Jersey State Police Academy as well as the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice Academy. Asm. Rible is one of only 29 Certified Forensic Locksmiths in the world.

 

Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini, Ocean Township (R-11)

Mary Pat Angelini, of Ocean Township, was sworn in as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly on January 8, 2008. She serves on the Assembly Health and Senior Services Committee and the Assembly Human Services Committee.

Since 1992, Assemblywoman Angelini has been the executive director of a non-profit organization which provides educational programs and services to schools, businesses, and community organizations to counter the negative effects of drug abuse and violence.

Since taking office, the Assemblywoman has fought to improve conditions at state psychiatric hospitals, pushed for stronger regulations for child care centers and sponsored legislation to combat underage drinking and drug abuse.

Assemblywoman Angelini earned a Bachelor of Social Welfare from East Tennessee State University and a Master of Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is married to Robert Angelini, a veteran police officer with more than 22 years of service in Monmouth County. They reside in Ocean Township with their son, Bobby, who is currently attending the University of Maryland in College Park. Their daughter, Toni, lives in Matawan with her children Alex, Angelina and Isabella.
